Barrow Clubs Frank Jackson Trial Postponed
Please be aware that this trial which was to take place tomorrow, 5th February is not now taking place due to the obvious weather conditions.... The trial will now take place on 19th Feb instead of the Founder Members trial that should of been taking place that day at Lindale. This is just here for information, but the Frank Jackson is the old style road based single lap trial and a lot of work has gone into its running so be sure to support the trial when it re-runs on the 19th, as its a brilliant trial to do, and the lads have gone the extra mile in keeping it available to ride by swapping it with the founder members trial..... Steve Dixon wins the Lonsdale Cup Trial closely followed by Richard Gaskell and Michael Clarke in 3rd. Nick Shield won the Green course from Kiaran Hankin and Carl Batty won the Easy course.
First social of the year is due to take place early in March, this will be a Brewery tour with drinks, food and transport all included. For those who arent sure... we thought we'd try and show if we could organise a " Drink in a Brewery!!" Krysia has full details if you could contact her from the contact page please...... Limited places available!
Please do note that a 100% Licence & Membership check will take place prior to events, so dont leave them at home, you dont need to be a member of Westmorland (be nice if you were!) but you do have to be a member of an ACU affiliated club. Also signing on will close at 9-30, which is a half hour before the start as per the regulations, please dont be late, as if your not in the queue at 9-30am, you wont ride.
Fell Side Auto Club are organising the 11th Northern Classic Trial for both cars and bikes on the 18th February 2012. This is a compact Classic Reliability Trial of around 60 road miles within the North Lakes and North Cumbria with a further 25 or so miles on tracks within the North Lakes forests. The entry fee is around £33 with food being available at the end of the trial subject to ordering. We would welcome entries from cars and bikes and can offer a Class O for drivers of vehicles who are new to the sport or have slightly more delicate vehicles. Triple D Motosport Milnthorpe Cup Trial
Sunday 4th March 12
This is a road based trial, starting at The Row, Lythe Valley, (A 5074 Gilpin Bridge to Windermere Road) with first rider away at 9-30am. This event is pre entry, with an entry limit of 140, the route is approx 30 miles round with 35 sections, with a mixture of Rocks, Streams and Mud. There will be 3 courses Hard, Green and Easy. Post Code for the start field is LA8 8DD
